Joe Campbell
Application Manager, MAGMA Foundry Technologies, Inc.
Joe Campbell is an Application Manager at MAGMA Foundry Technologies, specializing in high-pressure die casting and the application of MAGMASOFT® casting simulation software. In his role, he helps engineering teams use simulation to optimize casting and tooling designs, improve process robustness, and address complex manufacturing challenges.
Joe began his career as a die casting engineer at Ryobi Die Casting, USA, where he gained hands-on experience in process development and optimization, particularly for structural die castings. Throughout his career, he has worked closely with die casters and manufacturers to translate simulation results into practical manufacturing solutions.
Joe holds a degree in Mechanical Engineering from Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology in Terre Haute, Indiana.

Sales & Business Development, HTS International Corporation
Mike Nack leads sales and business development at HTS International Corporation, the North American division of the HTS Group, which specializes in additive manufacturing and conformal cooling technologies for high-pressure die casting. With 10 years at HTS serving the HPDC industry, he works hands-on with die casters, tool shops, and OEMs to apply HTS’s AM thermal solutions—iTherm® conformal-cooled die inserts, shot-end components, and lubrication systems—where conventional drilled cooling lines fall short. These solutions shorten cycle times, improve dimensional stability, extend die life, and mitigate soldering, heat checking, and porosity. Mike takes a practical, data- and application-driven approach, linking tooling-design decisions directly to casting quality and productivity. In his Chapter 12 Fall Training session, he will show how uniform conformal-cooling channels carry a die from design-stage simulation to optimized, repeatable thermal performance in production—and what that means for cycle time and scrap on the floor.
